In board processing and custom furniture production,
the biggest loss is not poor craftsmanship, but wasted boards caused by scratches and indentations.
Today I’ll share practical protection tips.
All solid content, help you avoid losses once and for all.
Follow these three key rules to keep your boards scratch-free.
First, always keep the processing table clean.
Remove all iron filings and sand particles in time.
Lay soft pads on the table to avoid hard friction.
Second, apply temporary protective films on decorative and painted boards.
Remove the film only after all processing is finished.
Third, never drag boards during handling.
Always lift and place them gently to avoid scratches fundamentally.
Most board indentations are caused by improper stacking.
First, stack boards flat and aligned to avoid uneven pressure and misplaced layers.
Second, control the stacking height to prevent deformation and indentation on the bottom boards.
Most importantly,
place pearl cotton or cardboard between every two boards.
This step completely eliminates fine indentations caused by squeezed dust and particles.
Remember, 90% of board surface defects come from poor protection details.
Keep surfaces clean, use cushion pads, and standardize stacking, you can greatly reduce board waste and loss.
